Acer Announces Iconia W4, A1-830 and B1-720 Tablets At CES 2014

At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Taiwanese giant announced three low-high end Tablets for the mass market. Let's find out the internal hardware of respective tablet launched by Acer at CES 2014.



Acer Iconia W4 

 

Acer Iconia W4, as the name suggests, is a sequel to the original Iconia W3. Since the processor was a big flop in the market, Acer is expecting some positive buzz with the Iconia W4.
Talking about the specifications, the Acer Iconia W4 features an 8.1-inch HD IPS display having a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.8GHz 4th generation Intel Atom processor, backed by 2GB of RAM The tablet will be available in 32GB or 64GB capacities. Also, users can expand the internal memory via a microSD card slot. The device weighs 415grams, and has a built-in 5MP /2MP dual-cameras. Those who wish to add an optional Acer Crunch keyboard can opt for Full QWERTY keyboard at an added cost. Acer Iconia W4 was launched in India last month at a price of Rs. 24,999.

Acer Iconia A1-830 


 

While the Iconia A1-830 is running the latest Windows 8.1; Acer also announced a premium Android-based tablet under $200 (Rs. 12,000). We're talking about the Iconia A1-830, a metal clad tablet starting at $149 or Rs. 9331. The tablet features a premium design with an aluminum rear cover and a metal mid-frame. 
The Iconia A1-830 incorporates a 7.9-inch display having a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal processor (expandable via a microSD card slot).Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The product also comes with dual-cameras: one on the front and other on the rear. If you are keen to buy Acer Iconia A1-830, make sure that you are ready to ignore its underwhelming display.


Acer Iconia B1-720 

 

Finally, Acer also announced a cheap or rather affordable Android-based tablet at the ongoing CES. It's a third generation Iconia B-720 tablet with mediocre specifications. Of course the tablet is primarily aimed at the emerging countries like India and Brazil. Talking about the specs, the Iconia B1-720 comes with a 7-inch display, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a front-facing camera. The Android Jelly Bean tablet is expected to go on sale later this month under Rs. 8,000.
