InFocus M2 smartphone for Rs 4999 in Snapdeal

The InFocus M2 has made its debut in India at just Rs 4999, which means the Redmi 1S smartphone is no longer the cheapest mid-range handset on the market. The device is the first release from the US-based company and it’s exclusive to Snapdeal.

The InFocus M2 is a compact smartphone and it’s loaded with some very attractive features. The display is a petite 4.2-inch panel with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, while the usual 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek processor does the heavy lifting on the inside. The SOC is accompanied by 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a microSD card slot.

Great as these features are, the main attractions are the dual cameras. The InFocus handset has two 8MP auto-focus snappers, one for the front and the other on the rear, and they’re each accompanied by an LED flash. So not only is the device the cheapest option in its category, but also a great pick for those who love to take selfies.
Android 4.4 KitKat powers up the M2 handset and there’s no mention whether there will be any software enhancements onboard, but there does appear to be a custom UI. The phone will also come with dual SIM card slots and 3G cellular connectivity. Additionally, it has a 2010mAh battery powering things up.
